A newly developed common-rail 2.5 litre diesel engine delivers torque so smoothly and powerfully it rekindles what driving is all about. At the same time it’s efficient, quiet and reliable, and meshes perfectly with the new 5-speed manual transmission.
Refined suspension enhances handling and ride, whether the cargo box is empty or full. Plus we’ve redesigned mirrors and bumpers for better aerodynamics, and improved the superb off-road drivability of the 4WD system.

Freedom and flexibility
Tough enough to get away from it all. With the capacity and versatility to take everything you’ll need. That’s the new Mazda BT-50.
The two cabins offer a choice of cargo boxes. The regular cab model can accommodate items up to 2.28m long and the double cab 1.53m. Both versions can carry up to one ton.
The box is rugged, with a high-walled double-skin cover for extra protection and security. An optional durable bed liner and rear tonneau cover add even more capability. The bed’s also 60cm lower than before, expanding loading possibilities.
